FAQ- Can I use micellar water with my lash extensions?

🤓 Our professional opinion to get the most out of your investment, is to use a cleanser that is oil free, glycol free and glycerin free.

Micellar water is made up of micelles (tiny balls of cleansing oil molecules) suspended in soft water. While there are oil free solutions available, they will usually have a chemical based solvent such as glycol to break down dirt and impurities which (when its used as a solvent) can act the same as oil on lash extensions and break down the adhesive. Glycols are usually the most common solvents used in micellar waters. Some cleansers do have glycol or glycerine in them, but these ingredients are not being used as a solvent, rather as a humectant or for moisturising properties, making it them suitable for lash extensions. But the only way to find out if by asking the manufacturer who often need to refer to their science department. For peace of mind and convenience, choose a 'Lash Safe' cleanser - where all the ground work as been done for you! ✅
